Mr Greg September was present for the discussion of this item.
Cllr Bryant stressed that the proposed GR4 zoning for this Erf is not acceptable, and a GR2 zoning is considered to be appropriate for the proposed development. This view was supported by a number of objectors as reflected in the report.
After discussion, it was agreed as follows:
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that since it is considered undesirable, as neither the current improvements nor the proposed developments warrant a GR4 zoning, which is inappropriate for the area and a GR2 zoning would be more appropriate,
a) the rezoning of Erf 1308, Green Point, as described in annexure A to the report, BE REFUSED in terms of section 16 of the Land Use Planning Ordinance no.15 of1985.
b) the permanent departures for Erf 1308, Green Point, as set out in the annexure A to the report, BE REFUSED in terms of section 15 of the Land Use Planning Ordinance, no.15 of 1985.
