Resolution detail
RESOLVED that Subcouncil engaged with Informal Settlements and Solid Waste Departments the implementation of a project tried recently by the City of Cape Town, with success, in Delft, whereby the City provided each informal structure with a pole and bins which are collected off the poles by contractors. This resulted in less dumping, improved appearance, less blockages and less health risk.
