<h2 class="sectHeading">Register with the Central Suppliers Database</h2></span>
<p>Before you register as a supplier, you must register with the National Treasury
<a href="https://secure.csd.gov.za/" target="_blank">Central Suppliers Database<i class="icon link-external"></i></a> (CSD).</p><p>
<strong>Step 1:</strong> Register with the Central Suppliers Database.<br></p>

<strong>Step 2:</strong> Once you have registered, you will be issued with a CSD registration number.</p>

<h2 class="sectHeading">Register supplier self-service</h2></span>
<p>The next step in registering as a supplier is to
<a href="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Procedures%2c%20guidelines%20and%20regulations/Getting%20Started%20Supplier%20Online%20Registration.pdf" target="_blank">activate supplier self-service</a>, which can be accessed using your
<a href="https://eservices.capetown.gov.za/irj/portal" target="_blank">e-services account<i class="icon link-external"></i></a>.</p><p>
<strong>Step 1:</strong> Log into your account and select 'New e-Services portal', then select 'Service registration for supplier self-service'. <br></p><p>
<strong>Step 2:</strong> Fill in the information required by the service activation wizard. If you are unsure of what to do, please see our Individual Suppliers Self-service Registration Guide in the document section below. </p><p>Organisations and businesses can consult the Organisation Supplier Self-Service Registration Guide, also at the bottom of the page.</p>

<strong>Step 3:</strong> Once you have completed the activation, you will receive an email confirming approval once all your information has been processed.</p>

<h2 class="sectHeading">Community based suppliers</h2></span>
<p>We encourage smaller enterprises, youth, women and individual owned entities to register as Community-based Suppliers to access opportunities to provide the City with goods and services below R30 000. </p><p>Community-based suppliers live and operate in a specific area or community, as verified by the relevant subcouncil, and meet the criteria as determined by the City's Director of Supply Chain Management.</p>
