RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
 
Subcouncil 20 supports that Erf 2045 Constantia situated at Evergreen Lane, Constantia in extent 525m²   and indicated as ABCDE on Plan LT 1659v0, attached as Annexure “A”, be reserved for the Facilities Management Department, subject to the following Conditions:
 

1. The subject property shall be utilised for the purpose of addressing the current shortage of office accommodation in the area and to meet the needs of Disaster Risk Management: Volunteer and Capacity Building Branch, who have earmarked the offices on the property for a Volunteer Centre and purposes ancillary thereto;

2. The Facilities Management Department takes responsibility for the required land use processes, as well as compliance with any related legislation, the funding whereof to be provided by Disaster Risk Management as required;

3. The said Disaster Risk Management Department accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance of the land and any structure erected thereon, to operate, manage and maintain the property and structures on the facility, inclusive of resources, labour, equipment, general operating expenses, including maintenance costs, utility consumption, security and content insurance, as is applicable. A Management/Service Level Agreement may govern this relationship;

4. That all costs, funding source and model to be derived and determined between and from the Disaster Risk Management Department and Facilities Management.
