The Subcouncil Manager introduced the report relating on Expanded public works programme (EPWP): Monthly jobseeker report for Subcouncil 14 for June 2020.

Cllr Ngxumza said that there is problem of these projects that are done and the Councillor are not informed of such a project for information because the Community will ask questions and once the Councillor is not aware it will create conflicts within our communities.

Cllr Zondani requested the Subcouncil manager to follow up with these departments because people get chased away and they then got to be deployed somewhere else. There was also an issue were a contractor was busy working at NY 72 and the community was not aware and the contractor was forced to employ those people. It will create problems as the contractor ended up employing more people than what was on the specification.

Cllr Makasi also said that in Ward 41 there is example of a sewer project with the community wanting to be part of the employment process. The numbers need to be clear so people understand. Also the randomization office need to check correctly as to who they contact for employment because in ERF 8448 there is a constant hold ups because of this people not from the area being employed.

Cllr Yozi noted the report supported by Cllr Manata.

There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
