Resolution detail

  1. That Subcouncil 18 NOTES the Winter Readiness Programme 2020 ;
  2. Subcouncil 18 NOTES that the Winter Readiness Programme 2020 report be submitted to all Subcouncils, in order for the report to be included in the Subcouncil Agenda’s ;
  3. That Subcouncil 18 SUBMITS a schedule of hot spot areas within their respective Subcouncils to Director H Du Plessis, after consulting with their Ward Cllrs as follows :
  • Ward 63 : Freedom Park, Ottery and Bonnytoun, Wynberg Informal Settlements.
  • Ward 65 : Stanley and Simon Road, Lotus River, Kalbaskraal Informal Settlement, Lotus River and frequent flooding at various CRU’s, Lotus River.
  • Ward 66 : Canal Walk Informal Settlement, Parkwood, Zillereighn Heights, Parkwood, Cathy’s Heights, Parkwood and Skeemsaam, Parkwood.
  • Ward 67 : Village heights; Military heights; Overcome heights; Chinatown ; Military heights ;Hillview Informal Settlements ;
Hillview formal ; Soutpansberg and  Tafelberg and these are all in Seawinds area : Vrygrond/Capricorn ; Pumlani/Riemvasmaak; New Horizon; Lotus River. Rietbok        street, 6&7th Avenue and Oribi Street.
  • Ward 68: Grindal Avenue, Grindel Crescent, Grindal Close, Lavender Hill, Mirbey Road, Hillary Crescent, Hillary Road, Epson Close and Epson Road, Lavender Hill and Basson Road, Craddock Road, Botma Road, Symphony Road, Woodwind Circle and Melody square, Steenberg.
  • Ward 110 : Iris Road canal- Grassy Park, Blagden Street canal, Cafda, Retreat, Frequent blocked drain problem at  70 Peter Charles Street Cafda,Retreat.
             Requested that all drains in Ward 110, Cafda, Montague Village, Rondevlei and Grassy Park be cleaned.
 
  1. Subcouncil 18 NOTES that feedback regarding the implementation of the Winter Readiness Programme and progress on the hot spots which were identified by the Subcouncils will be included in the Transport Portfolio Committee Agenda.
