The Subcouncil Manager informed the Subcouncil that Ward 40 Sporting Festival is scheduled for 25 May 2018 commencing with the launch of the match fixtures and the Final Event scheduled 22 June 2018 • Ward 46: 16 June 2018 joint programme for sporting Carnival and launch of opening of the Eltjieskraal Park • Meeting held with CONSOL on the 18 May 2018 visited mining plant and were shown operations. Corporate Social investment and partnership to benefit community were discussed. Also visited Economic Empowerment project site in Hanover Park and YISS Project. Cllr Cassiem informed the members of the Sub council that next to CONSOL sand mining plant there are issues of Dumping as well as safety which need to be attended to. • Proposed joint Ward 40 & 44 Weekend Camp is scheduled 8-10 June 2018, at Hermanus Campsite, administration arrangements in process, it is work in progress • Ward Allocation Workshop 2019/20 Project identification process held on 22/5/2018. • Site visit and discussion regarding Heideveld Library and reservation of land was also held on 22/05/2018.
