Resolution details

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for Consent Use to permit a freestanding base telecommunication station on Erf 35381, Strand, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

b. The application for Permanent Departure for the relaxation of the 5 meter common building line (adjacent Remainder Erf 28035) to 0m, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report.


Amend Annexure A:
Amend condition 2.4 as follows:
2.4 That the applicant/owner (ie. not the school) shall submit a new landscaping plan broadly along the lines of drawing numbers 2.1, 3 and 4 dated 28/06/2022 indicating the types of trees and the size of trees to the satisfaction of the authorised official. The trees should be of sufficient height (not less than 500L) to mitigate the visual impact of the cellmast
