RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY
a. That the application for Consent to permit an Institution (youth care centre) on erf 106774, Cape Town at Mount View BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015, in accordance with Plan No. 12*897*15 (1-4) dated 2016-12-08, subject to conditions contained in Annexure A.
b. That the Departures as set out in Annexure A on erf 106774, Cape Town at Mount View BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015 in accordance with Plan No. 12*897*15 (1-4) dated 2016-12-08, subject to conditions contained in Annexure A.
APPLICATIONS GRANTED IN TERMS OF SECTION 98(b) OF THE BYLAW
Application 1.2.6 is amended as follows:
1.2.6 Parking departure of 3 bays in lieu of 6 bays.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL IMPOSED IN TERMS OF SECTION 100 OF THE BYLAW
Condition 2.1.2 and 2.5.1 is amended as follows:
2.1.2 Living accommodation for a maximum number of 34 youth and 2 staff members shall be permitted at any one time
2.5.1 A building plan application shall be submitted for the change in use from residential to institutional immediately after notification of land use application. The illegal building work must be demolished within 3 months after building plan approval.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPTSW Panel approved the reasons in the planner’s report and added an additional reason that reads as follows:
7.1.6 The proposal satisfies the desirability criteria contained in Section 99 of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
