Advertising on City assets

Not only does advertising revenue support our services to the public, but using our assets also gives advertisers exposure to the many audiences of Cape Town.</p></div>

<h2 class="sectHeading">Advertising on the MyCiTi buses and bus stops</h2><p>The City has awarded the contract for advertising on the <a href="https://myciti.org.za/en/home/" target="_blank">MyCiTi buses<i class="icon link-external"></i></a> and bus stops to an outdoor media company via a tender process. The benefit of this relationship is that the contractor is also responsible for maintenance and cleaning of MyCiTi bus stops, funded from the sale of advertising, and at no cost to the City.</p><p>All details regarding the inventory of available sites for advertising and tariffs can be obtained from the contracted media agency.</p><div class="notification with-heading dark-copy pink bg-light-grey"><div class="graphic with-border"> <i class="info toptip"></i> </div><div class="desc"><h4>Top tip</h4><p> Contact the Transport Information Centre for more information and to find agency details. This follows on from an amendment to the original environmental conditions, which will enable a more diverse use of the stadium.</p><p>Every event and its associated advertising and signage is currently dealt with on an event-specific basis. This will include buying media space in and around the stadium. Once the proposal has been finalised, we will run a tender process to appoint an outdoor media company to manage the inventory, tariffs and bookings.</p>
