The Subcouncil Chairperson asked Mr. Daniels to take the meeting through the report. Mr. Daniels said that we have 149 organisations registered in the database and documents for 106 organisations were found in the files of which 89 were noncomplaint is 89 as they do not have all the documentation required and 60 organisations are complaint. He said we have 11 vacancies across the five ward committees. He mentioned that the ward committee members have been informed to bring all the documents that are requested and if they do not submit they will be issued with notice of termination.
Cllr Moses said who is Manenberg and Heideveld Community Building Team. He is not aware of them and would like to get the details of the organisations as they are registered in multiple wards. Cllr Cassiem also concurred with Cllr Moses and would like to know the legislative mechanism that can be used to assess and monitor these organisations. Cllr Adams said that he had a conversation with Ms. Overmeyer and was informed that an organization can apply to more than one Subcouncil there is nothing that can stop them providing that they provide all the necessary documents requested by the Subcouncil Offices. Cllr Cassiem moved for the noting of the report seconded by Cllr Adams. There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
