RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that the leases of:
-
A portion of erf 2187, Green Point to Glen Green Point Sports Centre shown on the attached plan LIS2081 marked A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,J,K,N,M,P,Q,R,S and T in extent 8316.76 m²(Annexure A) attached to the report;
b) a portion of erf 2187, Green Point to Western Cape Bridge Union shown on the attached plan LIS2106 marked A,B,C,D,E,F and G, in extent 1574.43 m²(Annexure B) attached to the report; and
c) a portion of erf 1056, to Green Point to Kyokushin Karate Cape Town shown on the attached plan LIS 928v1 marked A,B,C and D, in extent 552.8 m² (Annexure C) attached to the report;
BE APPROVED subject, to inter alia the following conditions;
-
A tariff rental of R1 195.00 per annum including 15% VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable. Rates not applicable.

The lease will endure for a period of 2 years and 11 months from Date of Commencement for Glen Green Point Sports Centre.

The lease will endure for 2 years and 11 months from Date of Commencement for Western Cape Bridge Union.

The lease will endure for a period of 5 years from Date of Commencement with an option to renew a further 5 years, for Kyokushin Karate Cape Town.
VI. The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council.
VII. The properties be used for sport and recreational purposes only.
VIII. Subject to such further conditions imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority.
IX. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements.
X. No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property.
XI. That the objections to the lease not be upheld.
