UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for the amendment of condition 3.1 of the land use approval dated 25/05/2019 (i.e. to amend the approved SDP in order to increase the number of units on Portion 22 of Farm 787, Weltevreden Valley in terms of Section 42(j) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, as set out in Annexure A), BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)(i) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
b. The application for permanent departure in terms of Section 42(b) of the City of Cape Town, Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 as set out in Annexure A, to permit the provision of 50 parking bays in lieu of 124 parking bays on Portion 22 of Farm 787, Weltevreden Valley, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)(i) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
c. The application for permanent departure in terms of Section 42(b) of the City of Cape Town, Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 as set out in Annexure A, to permit the relaxation of the eastern common boundary building line from 4.5m to 1.5m (Block A) and 2.37m (Block C) on Portion 22 of Farm 787, Weltevreden Valley, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)(i) of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to add:
7.8 The proposal provides a greater mix of residential opportunities catering for lower income households
