Resolution detail
Cllr Franklin noted that tasks 81, 82, 83 and 85 on the spread sheet does not reflect that they are leopard toad breeding areas. She requested that this be amended so that the contractor is aware of how to treat the area. The City need to play an oversight role to ensure contractors are following protocols and that they are doing the tasks properly.
Cllr Langenhoven reported that a ward committee member stopped the contractor from spraying as they did not wear masks. The contractors have moved on and he wanted to know whether they would come back to the Wynberg area to continue the spraying. He said that it would be appreciated if Cllrs are made aware of when spraying would commence.
Mr Fortuin of Urban Mobility stated that he was not aware of the contractors not wearing masks and that he would definitely address this with them. He said that he will make sure they go back to Wynberg and that they will definitely check on the contractors.
Cllr Quintas committed that the line managers will definitely do site visits to ensure that the contractors are compliant and will do regular spot checks as well.
