RESOLVED
Subcouncil 20 notes that in considering the Subdelegation Rule Part 24 4(1), the Subcouncil Manager in conjunction with the Chairperson who is also the Ward Councillor recommended that the application for a liquor licence received from Salushi Lounge, Erf 55297, 6 Cavendish Street, Claremont, for Consumption ON Premises, Reference No LLA20060006, NOT BE SUPPORTED, for the following reasons:
-
Currently there is insufficient information to give a final comment.
-
The applicant and the land use inspector have been requested to provide input on any relevant previous approvals and compliance with previously imposed rezoning Conditions and the situation on site after a site inspection.
-
The 2001 rezoning was to General Business Subzone B1. The Condition of approval 4.1 restricts the range of permitted uses to shops, offices and residential use approval permits.
-
At the time of the approval in 2001 “shops” were defined to include a restaurant, but this is further restricted by other Conditions including parking, loading requirements and land use mix.
