RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
 
Subcouncil 20 supports that the lease of City Land, being portion of Erf 48570 Cape Town, Newberry Lane, Newlands, shown hatched and lettered A middle of ravine BCD on the attached sketch STC 3183 marked annexure A, in extent approximately ±237m², to Katherine Brigid Mary Lorentz, owner of Erf 156850 or her successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following Conditions:
 

1. A tariff rental of R1 891 per annum including VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable.  Rates not applicable.

2. The Lease will endure for a period of 10 years.

3. The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council.

4. The property be used for gardening purposes only.

5. Subject to such further Conditions to be imposed by the Director:  Property Management in terms of her delegated authority.

6. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements.

7. No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property.

8. The objections not be upheld.

1. Subcouncil 20 requests that Catchment Management be informed of this lease as it involves a river as well as the Invasive Species Unit whose mandate it is to remove alien vegetation.
