RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
 
Subcouncil 20 supports that the lease of City Land, being portion of Erf 48570 Cape Town, off Peach Lane, Newlands, shown hatched and lettered A middle of ravine BCD on the attached sketch STC 3200 marked annexure A, in extent approximately ±239m² to Eric John Goddart Curry, owner of Erf 48349 or his successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following Conditions:
 

1. A tariff rental R1 891.00 per annum including VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable.  Rates not applicable.

2. The lease will endure for a period of ten years;

3. The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council;

4. The property be used for gardening purposes only;

5. Subject to such further conditions be imposed by the Director of Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

6. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

7. No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property;

8. The objections will not be upheld.

1. Subcouncil 20 requests that Catchment Management be informed of this lease as it involves a river as well as the Invasive Species Unit whose mandate it is to remove alien vegetation.
