Resolution detail
The Subcouncil members welcomed Miss Pre-Teen, Keegan Lee Croy
passionately shared her vision as follows: -
The vision I have as a young person from Hanover Park is to have more professional individuals coming from Hanover Park, so I would propose that there is more informative and positive initiatives in the community to show the youth such as National Student Financial Aid Scheme also known as NAFSAS
I would like the natural talents of the children of the community to be groomed by allowing more Career Expos and visit the area of Hanover Park, so they will be educated and looking to the future job opportunities. This will in turn empower then to become financially stable and make change in the financial status in Hanover Park.
Anti-drug and Anti-Gangsterism programs should be made available to the youth in Hanover Park. Many of the youth fall off the wagon as drugs and gangs are easily available to them. It will show them the dangers of drugs abuse and gang activities.
Arts and culture programs, dance and drama clubs should also be made available for the youth. Grooming school programs is of utmost importance as youth in our area lack in this area. They need social grace and self-confidence and become more self-aware. This is my essential in my vision. She thanked the Subcouncil members for taking the time to listen to her plea for the youth of Hanover Park.
Cllr Moses informed the members that he also come from Hanover Park and it makes him proud to see young people making a difference. He said that he will donate crayons, pencils to enhance Ms. Keegan Lee Croy projects.
