RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND Subcouncil 20 recommends that the lease of public street, being a portion of Erf 97373 Cape Town situated at Rhodes Avenue, Newlands, shown hatched and lettered ABCDE on the attached sketch STC 2695 marked annexure A, in extent approximately 272m², to The Hein Gerwel Newlands Family Trust, owner of Erf 97381 Cape Town or their successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following Conditions, that; a) A market related rental of R1 950 per month excluding VAT where applicable, being R292.50 (in total – R2242,50) be payable; the monthly rental is to be adjusted on the basis of 8% per anum as from 1 February 2018. Rental will be reviewed after 5 years; b) The rental will escalate at 8% per anum; c) The lease will endure for a period of ten years; d) The property will be used for access, parking and gardening purposes only; e) Subject to such further Conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority f) Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements; g) No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property.
