INFORMATION: FREDDIE PRINCE REMEDIAL ENGINEERING MEASURES PROGRAMME: TRAFFIC CALMING REQUESTS RESOLVED unanimously by Subcouncil 2 a) That the report, Remedial Engineering Measures Programme: Traffic Calming Requests BE NOTED; b) That investigation for remedial traffic calming measures be undertaken for the following streets: i) Witels Street, Brackenfell (Reference No. 1013650343) ii) Rogland Street, Brackenfell (Reference No. 1013650345) iii) Lower Reservoir Street, Silver Oaks Estate (Reference No.1013650345-1013650345) iv) Midway Street, Scottsville (Reference No. 1013696525) c) That the feedback on Traffic Calming measures for the following be supported: Ward 6 i) Rosanna Crescent, Scottsdene (Reference No TNDN1360). The implementation of three speed humps ii)Serenade Street, Scottsdene (Reference No TNDN1355). The implementation of one speedhump Ward 102 iii)Vredekloof Road and Mopanie Crescent No justification for traffic calming measures. Ward 7 iv) Cordega Road, Kraaifontein (Reference No TNDN1377) a) That traffic calming measures not be supported; b) The closure of the walk through at lower Cordega Road by implementing bollards at 2.5 m intervals along Wolwefontein Avenue to deter illegal dumping but to allow pedestrian throughfare c) The implementation of a stop sign (R1) should be placed on Rosette way at the junction with Cordega Road v) Eikenhof Street, Brackenfell (Ref No. TNDN1840) The implementation of two speed humps along Eikenhof Street at locations adjacent to Zeeland Park. d) That the Network Management Department make provision for the recommended traffic calming measures in their budget.
