Resolution detail

RECOMMENDED that, the lease of a portion of City Land, being a portion of 3160, Simon’s Town situated off Tercentenary Way, shown bordered grey and lettered ABCD bottom of cliff face EFGHJK on the attached sketch WT 20001046 marked annexure A, in extent approximately 2.28 hectares, to False Bay Shooting Sport Club, its successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions, that: a)A tariff rental of R741.23 per annum excluding VAT of 14% where applicable, being R103.77 (in total – R845) be payable; b)The lease will endure for a period of ten years with an option to renew for a further ten years. c)The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council; d)The property be used for sporting purposes only purposes only and no structures other than the existing structures will be permitted within the lease area; e)Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority; f)Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements; g)No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property, with or without the consent of Council, should the lease be terminated for any reason whatsoever; h)Any alteration or deviation to electricity services necessary as a consequence of the proposal, or requested by the applicant, will be carried out at the applicant’s cost; i)Unrestricted access to the lease area where a water services exists; j)All outstanding accounts with the City of Cape Town must be settled (remove clause if not applicable); ACTION: SECRETARIAT / WILSON BAARTMAN
