RESOLVED 1) That It BE NOTED that an application for a Section 48(4) Event Liquor Licence received from Thorne Japhta was considered in terms of sub delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended Subcouncil 2 recommends that the application received form Thorne Japhta for Get Real, Reference No. E180117, NOT BE SUPPORTED. The application cannot be supported, the reason being that Town Planning informed that portion of farm 221 is zoned Agricultural Zone. This zoning does not permit any sale of alcohol. An application for occasional use is required with the Town Planning office. 2)That the Events Department be informed regarding the nuisance complaints and drug arrests made at the events held on Protea Farm, Bottelary Road Kraaifontein.
