Charl September informed the members that the report provides an overview of the activities of the Library and Information Services Department (LIS) for the period 1 July 2017 to 30 September 2017. • Cllr Moses informed the members that the Heideveld Library is currently very small and with the additional 200 houses being built in the Heideveld area, land need to be reserved for the extension of the library. The existing Air-conditions in Heideveld Library need to be secured and chess competition scheduled 7 December 2017 between Libraries and Sport. • Cllr A van der Rheede asked when the Hanover Park library is being fitted with Wi-Fi, Neighbourhood Watch members be used as watchmen and that the EPWP stipend be used to compensate them in order to secure libraries and community facilities. • Cllr A van der Rheede asked that item 7.1.3 on page 3 in the report be changed from gang activity hotspot to challenging environment in future reports.
