Subcouncil 20 refuses to grant a Business Licence for three slot machines at Hollywood Sportsbook Western Cape, 258 Main Road, Wynberg.
Reasons for Refusal:
a) This is a mixed-use area consisting of residential flats and an ECD operating in the building.
b) There was also a safe-house located close to this business.
c) Should the criteria for liquor licences be applied to this application, it would fall short.
d) In light of (c) there should be a standard set of criteria for Business Licences.
