Resolution detail
RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
1. Subcouncil 20 notes the contents of the PCER for August 2017.
FURTHER RESOLVED
2. Subcouncil 20 requests that cognisance be taken of the following issues raised in the discussion of this item, namely:
2.1 That in light of the current water restrictions, will the Department proceed with tree planting projects.
2.2 That it be established whether trees should be deemed as Capital Items or Operational Items on the Budget in terms of the MFMA.
2.3 That the comments in project CPX.0009818 (Solo Street Sports Facility) be amended to reflect that the project is for a spectator stand and not a kitchen.
2.4 That project no C11.10537-F3 (Retreat Public Transport Interchange) be removed from Ward 72 as the project is located in Ward 71 where most of the work will be done. This gives the public a skewed perception of money that was being spent in Ward 72 when in fact it was not (project is on the other side of Retreat Station).
2.5 That Cllr Bew be contacted once clarity is obtained on the location, materials, time frames and funding regarding fencing and gates in Meadowridge.
2.6 That Cllr Brunette sends an email to Mr Dookoo about the locations and costing of projects.
2.7 That Mr Wayne Petersen liaises with the Subcouncil Manager when overtime needs to be worked in respect of the designated Law Enforcement Officers in Subcouncil 20.
2.8 That clarity be obtained whether overtime should be paid from the Department’s Budget or from Ward Allocations for the designated Law Enforcement Officers assigned to Subcouncil 20.
