Subcouncil 6 considered the report and supports the following recommendation to Council:
That Council resolves that in terms of Regulation 41(2)(e) of the Local Government Municipal Asset Transfer Regulars, portion of Erven 7720 and 7721, Arnold Wilhelm Street, Parow in extent approximately 3813m², is surplus to the requirements of the Municipality.
That the lease of portion of City land, being a portion of Erven 7720 and 7721 situated at Arnold Wilhelm Street, shown hatched and lettered ABCDEFGHJK on the sketch marked Sketch Plan A attached to the report, in extent approximately 3813m², to Parow SAPS (Department of Public Works) be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions that:
a) A market rental of R80 000.00 per month including VAT be payable;
b) The lease will endure for a period of ten years;
c) The rental will be adjusted on the basis of 8% per annum;
d) The property be used for police station and parking purposes only;
e) Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;
f) Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;
g) No compensation will be payable for any improvements made to the property.
