Resolution detail

Mesdames Pauline McConney and Phumla Mrubata represented City Parks Department. Concerns raised: • Page 126, (d) Vandalism – is security provided at the sites mentioned? • Should be pro-active in terms of the maintenance • Stealing of trees is a disgrace • the Promenade is not being weeded regularly • the greenery in Hout Bay must be restored. In response: • no security at Trafalgar Baths – exploring provision of on-site security through an EPWP project • do have a maintenance plan for Area 1 • during the recent protest, trees were cut down to block the roads • the Promenade is not a district park. UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that the Subcouncil NOTES the report.
