Mr Raafiq Kolia represented the Property Department. Concerns raised: • Comments from TDA omitted. • City’s land is being used illegally • The possible alternative use of the land should be investigated. UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that that the lease of city land being Erf 5744, portions of Erven 5745, 5746, 5747-5760 and 5766-5773 Cape Town situated between Canterbury and Primrose Streets, Cape Town for parking purposes: Protea Helpende Hand Wes Kaap BE REFERRED back for the following reasons: a) To obtain comment from Transport Development Authority Department b) To investigate the viability of the land for COCT purposes e.g. inner city affordable housing.
