Mr Richard White, Subcouncil Manager, advised that Subcouncils have been informed that a City-wide initiative would be launched soon. Once more is known, the Subcouncil will told about the event.

Mr Richard White, Subcouncil Manager, reported that a meeting had been scheduled for 24 April 2018 in Retreat Civic Centre. The event will be advertised in the Community Newspapers. It will be a joint event for Subcouncils 18, 19 and 20.
Cllr Southgate requested that the Subcouncil Manager ensure that the information on the database is correct and that the companies and organisations on the database be informed. He also requested that the content is aligned with the objective.

Mr Richard White, Subcouncil Manager, reported that the advert for the Session on Tenders/RFQs Less than R30 000 had been published in the local community newspapers. He advised that Communications informed him that only one newspaper per Ward could be used for advertising. It was a joint Subcouncil venture with Subcouncils 18 and 19.

Mr Richard White, Subcouncil Manager, reported that the Session on Tenders/RFQs Less than R30 000 was held on 24 April 2018 at Retreat Civic Centre. It was well attended.
Cllr Cottle enquired how many people attended the event.
Mr White responded that approximately 100 persons attended the event and 75 application forms were issued. A few applications forms has since been returned to the Subcouncil for signatures. He added that it was a joint event of Subcouncils 18, 19 and 20.
The Subcouncil requested that the matter be removed from the MRA.
