Resolution details

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY that:

a. The application for rezoning of Erf 91446 Cape Town at Wynberg, from Single Residential Zone 1 to Local Business Zone 1, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

b. The application for Council’s approval in terms of Item 162 of the Development Management Scheme for Erf 91446 Cape Town at Wynberg, to permit additions / alterations and the change in use to offices in a Heritage Protection Overlay Zone, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.

C The application for departures for Erf 91446 Cape Town at Wynberg, as set out in Annexure A, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the planner’s report except reason 7.1.12 which is amended as follows:

7.1.12 The impact on heritage will not be significant. Council’s Heritage Resources Section has no objection to the application and Heritage Western Cape has issued a permit.
