UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
The rezoning of erf 20585, Milnerton from Single Residential (SR1) to Local Business Zoning 1: Intermediate Business 1 as set out in Annexure A, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b)(iii) of the Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report
Amend Annexure A:
1.1. Rezoning of erf 20585 Milnerton from Single Residential Zoning 1: Conventional Housing (SR1) to Local Business Zoning 1: Intermediate Business to permit a boarding house for the purpose of a Guest House
2.1.1 Notwithstanding the primary uses permitted in the Local Business LB1 zoning of the Development Management Scheme, the following uses are not permitted: youth hostel, backpackers’ lodge, boarding house, home for the aged, handicapped or orphaned and residential club, and flats
2.1.6 That not more than five (5) staff members shall be on the property at any one time in connection with the guesthouse, whether or not such persons ordinarily reside on the property
Add new: Provision must be made for a manager to reside onsite
