RESOLVED that:
a. The application for a Consent Use for Erf 6269, Somerset West, to permit the existing dwelling to be converted into a guest house BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
b. The application for regulation departure for Erf 6269, Somerset West, to permit the relaxation of the 4,5m building lines applicable to a guest house on a Single Residential erf to ±2m (adjoining Erf 6261, Somerset West) and to ±3,7m (adjoining Erf 6268, Somerset West) to permit the conversion of the existing dwelling into a guest house with first floor additions thereto, BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT REFUSED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report.
