RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY
That the application for permanent departures, as set out in Annexure A, to permit the construction of a 57 unit block of flats on Erf 40127 Goodwood BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL IMPOSED IN TERMS OF SECTION 100 OF THE BYLAW
The Landscaping Plan Condition 2.6.1 be moved under Land Use Management and be amended as follows”
2.6.1 A detailed water wise landscaping plan for the property (which must include an implementation plan) must be submitted, prior to building plan approval to the requirements of the Director: Development Management. Such landscaping shall be implemented at the cost of the developer and that none potable water is used for irrigation purposes.
Additional condition:
That more detailed plans be submitted to the satisfaction of the Director: Development Management, detailing the boundary treatment along Southdale Road that can address the interface of the public street in an appropriate manner.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report.
