RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY

a. That the application for a consent use in terms of Section 42(i) of the Municipal Planning By-Law 2015 to permit a 20m freestanding base telecommunication station on a portion of Erf 36070, Bellville as indicated on Plan N ATC/Welgedacht Rev 1 dated 23/10/2017 BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98 (c) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015.

b. That the application for a building line departure in terms of Section 42(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law 2015 to permit the freestanding base telecommunication station to be set back 1m in lieu of 5m along the eastern and southern boundaries as indicated on Plan No ATC/Welgedacht Rev 1 dated 23/10/2017, BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT REFUSED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report.
