RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:

An administrative penalty in the amount of R15 000.00 BE DETERMINED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of Erf 88739 Cape Town at St James, for the unauthorised building work as shown on the plans drawn by Newman Architecture & Design, with drawing numbers 3B_CNL_1001 & 3B_CNL_1002, both revision D, both dated 6 March 2024.


REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report and added an additional reason that reads as follows:

6.8. The gravity and extent is of such a nature that it warrants an increased penalty.
