Supplier guidelines
The City procures goods and services through contracts with organisations and individuals. If you plan to do business with the City then you will need to register as a supplier to be eligible to tender your goods and services.
Register as a supplier
Registration will give you access to the tender and procurement portals as well as our e-procurement tool.
Supply Chain Management manages the supply and acquisition of these goods and services, as well as those who work with us as suppliers.
You will need to
register as a supplier before you are able to do business with the City.
Specialist suppliers who provide wellness services to the City need to
register as a supplier on the Wellness Database.
Once registered, you also need to
register for e-services.
Please note
All suppliers must ensure they are registered on the national
Central Supplier Database. It is your responsibility to keep all your information up to date.
Use the following guidelines to assist you when registering as a supplier with the City:
RFQs and tenders
We partner with suppliers to secure goods and services using either the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process or the tender process. The limit for RFQs is R750 000 (incl. VAT) and larger contracts for amounts above R750 000 (incl. VAT) follow the tender process.
Bid for RFQ contracts online
Our e-Procurement tool on
e-services allows you to bid for RFQ contracts simpler and faster.
View the e-Procurement page for more information.
