Urgent repairs to retaining wall at Soetwater tidal pool <p>​</p><p>Work at the Soetwater tidal pool commenced on Monday, 24 October 2022, and will continue for approximately four weeks, if all goes as planned. The pool will remain open to the public during this time. However, the parking area will be affected by the site camp, as such, seven bays will be unavailable.</p><p> </p><p>The intention is to finalise the repairs in time for the festive season. </p><p> </p><p>This maintenance project largely entails improvements to the tidal pool, among which repair work to the damaged stone pitching retaining wall, as well as some paving and step repairs to improve safe access. </p><p> </p><p>'Our intention is to improve the overall experience of those visiting the tidal area, and to also prolong the lifespan of this important asset.
