The inconvenience of a few hours in a queue pales in comparison to time behind bars for being caught with outstanding warrants. And, while the roadshows are immensely popular, it is a massive logistical exercise that requires the presence of three different services under one roof. I want to remind the public that they shouldn't develop an expectation around the roadshows, and that there are numerous other ways to pay fines timeously, and without any hassle. Of course, the ideal would be to have motorists obey the rules of the road and not incur any fines to begin with,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.

More information/frequently asked questions can be viewed here: https://bit.ly/3Gg6ohf

End

| 2024-07-03T22:00:00Z | GP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891d | | | | | GP0|#7cc7a47a-7915-4274-a19e-e977c5a945e0;L0|#07cc7a47a-7915-4274-a19e-e977c5a945e0|traffic;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#c88e2f9d-a86c-4cb7-8aec-1ed93781a565;L0|#0c88e2f9d-a86c-4cb7-8aec-1ed93781a565|fines;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb | 1 | | | | | | | | | | | 0 |
