Title deeds delivered to Wallacedene residents
'It was a privilege to have the opportunity to hand over title deeds and to assist in creating more homeowners. The City is working hard to deliver title deeds to residents of various communities in Cape Town, providing residents with dignity and secure homeownership.

'These important documents prove ownership and are important for financial transactions and estate planning. A title deed is so much more than a piece of paper and, as the City, we want to get them to as many beneficiaries as possible. Officials are visiting areas across the metro as we find beneficiaries of City units who have not received their deeds. We encourage residents to contact us so we can deliver deeds right to their door and also plan to expand outreach efforts in various communities, ensuring more families achieve the security of homeownership,' said Councillor Mbandezi.

What you need to know

If you or a family member is a beneficiary of a City unit without a title deed, here's what you need to do:

Identify our easily recognisable title deed agents visiting your area.

Have the following documents ready:

Owner ID and spouse ID (if applicable).

Marriage certificate (if applicable).

In the event of a death, provide a Letter of Authority, Death Certificate, or Will.

If you missed the team, bring along the required documents and visit us at the Cape Town Civic Centre, 2nd Floor Human Settlements Kiosk on Monday to Friday between 09:00 – 12:00.

For more information or if you want to verify that the agents are legitimate, contact 021 444 0333 or email title.deeds@capetown.gov.za or visit your local housing office.

The title deed email request must include the following information:

Subject: Erf number and Area

Body of the email:

• Name and Surname: (The name in which the title deed is registered)

• ID number

• Address

Contact the Human Settlements Call Centre on 021 444 0333

Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 16:30

End

2024-08-13T22:00:00ZGP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891dGP0|#d662b000-ebd9-4cff-8d9f-ae22c105ed6c;L0|#0d662b000-ebd9-4cff-8d9f-ae22c105ed6c|title deed;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#831594ce-baa4-46bb-a06a-29bd91a56fd8;L0|#0831594ce-baa4-46bb-a06a-29bd91a56fd8|Nomzamo;GP0|#0d8b7293-a214-43fa-80da-d843dd6f8e82;L0|#00d8b7293-a214-43fa-80da-d843dd6f8e82|human settlements10
