We also want to generate an interest among the youth in the work that we're doing, because they are our future constables and superintendents and firefighters – the heroes that will continue the fight for a safer city. Career expos are an opportunity to tap into the experience of people working in different fields, for a first-hand account of what it takes to do their job, whether it be the academic qualifications or the type of character or personality required. We look forward to welcoming learners, but also the broader community to the first of what-we-intend-to-be a series of career expos in different parts of the city,' said Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.

Ward Councillor, Avron Plaatjies has encouraged the community to attend the expo.

'The safety and security Directorate is a key component of the City's service delivery model. We pride ourselves in excellence and we are committed to serve and protect the residents of Cape Town. We are known for pushing boundaries and going beyond the call of duty. If you are passionate about serving, please do not miss our career exhibition at Lentegeur Civic Centre. See you there,' said Councillor Plaatjies.

End

| 2024-03-06T22:00:00Z | GP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891d | | | | | GP0|#3bd13869-3207-4532-9db7-a4ca95867a50;L0|#03bd13869-3207-4532-9db7-a4ca95867a50|JP Smith;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GPP|#3f57ea8a-3adb-4a8f-bb3a-0a20a62c7fe9;GP0|#86cb0be8-21e1-466f-97e9-09101eae6cce;L0|#086cb0be8-21e1-466f-97e9-09101eae6cce|Lentegeur;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#78273557-84e5-4b4e-8960-1153e6941255;L0|#078273557-84e5-4b4e-8960-1153e6941255|Metro police;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#1590d31e-7ad8-4e2e-9ac0-344400d98f63;L0|#01590d31e-7ad8-4e2e-9ac0-344400d98f63|traffic services;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#4bcb251f-1166-4a1c-8ee5-d33721046dec;L0|#04bcb251f-1166-4a1c-8ee5-d33721046dec|law enforcement;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#cd2cd131-61eb-42aa-a4bd-73e6caa5148f;L0|#0cd2cd131-61eb-42aa-a4bd-73e6caa5148f|fire and rescue;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#2ed2e328-76fa-47cf-96c1-0c869efb561b;L0|#02ed2e328-76fa-47cf-96c1-0c869efb561b|Disaster Risk Management;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#0527b2d4-270f-4110-9ada-0198dcb8d25f;L0|#00527b2d4-270f-4110-9ada-0198dcb8d25f|Public Emergency Communication Centre;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GPP|#d37f038d-719f-45ff-b7c1-e8bb0119e4c4 | 1 | | | | | | | | | | | 0 |
