Roadworks in Hanover Park amount to over R41 million <p>​</p><span><p>In total, this maintenance project will cover a 13 287 square metres of road and sidewalks in various designated areas within Hanover Park.</p><p>The 12-month project commenced 25 May 2021 and will be completed by mid-year in 2022, if all goes as planned.<br></p> <figure class="subtopic-fullsize-img"> <img class="responsive" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Centre/hanoverroad1.jpg" alt="" style="width:920px;" /> </figure></span><span><p>Road users in Hanover Park can look forward to all of the sidewalks, driveways and ramps being upgraded and kerbs being replaced in the designated areas. Some concrete roads will be cracked and sealed in order for new rubber asphalt to be placed. Very importantly, the storm water run-off into the existing system will also be redesigned.</p><p>‘The City has invested over R41 million into the road maintenance for Hanover Park. If all goes according to plan, by next year this time residents and commuters will be able to benefit from the new road infrastructure in the area. The roadworks are well underway and I am happy with the progress made since we commenced a month ago. We are focused and committed to keep on delivering services to communities, of which road maintenance forms a big part.
