The work is scheduled to take place from Saturday, 24 June 2023 at 19:00, throughout the night, until Sunday, 25 June 2023 at 17:00 (weather permitting). Residents can expect an increase in their regular travel times and a level of noise pollution during this time.<br></p><div><br><br></div><p><br></p> | <p>The resurfacing of Racecourse Road entails the 300m stretch from the intersection with Montague Drive to Omuramba Road with the removal of existing asphalt surfacing and replacing it with a new 50mm thick asphalt surfacing layer. <br></p><div>This segment of the road will be closed from Saturday night until 17:00 this Sunday. Only local access will be accommodated to Rainbow Office Park and the Engen fuelling station where possible.</div><div><br></div><div>All road markings removed with the asphalt surfacing will be reinstated on the newly placed asphalt.</div><div><br></div><div>Road users are asked to adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and speed limits. </div><div><br></div><div>‘The purpose of this work is to maintain the road surface and take it back to its original good state.
