Residents to comment on proposed one way road conversion at Rose and Church Street in Mowbray
'The benefits of this one way road conversion will include the alleviation of congestion along Rose and Church street during peak periods; enhanced pedestrian safety and increased parking availability throughout the day. The proposed one way conversion will be valuable to the Campus Key varsity residence along the road where there is a higher concentration of vulnerable road users, especially during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups. I encourage the community to have a look at the proposals and to send their comments through,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

The proposal also indicates that Rose street will be converted to a one way through the use of street signage.

How to comment:

Submit a comment via

Send an email to (quote reference: 110232414)

Written submissions can be delivered to:

Public Participation Unit: 3rd Floor Podium Block, Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town, 8001

Sub Council: SC16 11th Floor, 44 Wale Street, Cape Town

Library: 31 Main Road, Mowbray, 7700

For more information please contact Andre Louw at the City's Public Participation on 021 400 9809 or .

End

2024-03-17T22:00:00ZGP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891dGP0|#2d9d26f8-fc9c-42a9-8fb2-4688d58c4173;L0|#02d9d26f8-fc9c-42a9-8fb2-4688d58c4173|Public participation;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#4868ed9f-9cfd-48f0-8f4e-76d6a0ff4fb5;L0|#04868ed9f-9cfd-48f0-8f4e-76d6a0ff4fb5|Mowbray10
