Our maintenance teams are doing their utmost to minimise the impacted areas, but the location of the leak and network operational needs means they have to shut off the newly installed 1200mm diameter bulk water valve to stop the flow of water temporarily for this essential work. This unfortunately, will result in a large area having its water supply disrupted. This is the only way the repairs can be conducted under safe working conditions,' said Councillor Siseko Mbandezi, Acting Mayoral Committee Member for Water and Sanitation.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it must undertake the necessary repairs and maintenance of its water supply infrastructure network to benefit its consumers.

End

2022-11-02T22:00:00ZGP0|#1d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70;L0|#01d539e44-7c8c-4646-887d-386dc1d95d70|City news;GTSet|#62efe227-07aa-45e7-944c-ceebacca891dGP0|#3e84e2ed-3e2d-44ae-a5b6-af54ef207755;L0|#03e84e2ed-3e2d-44ae-a5b6-af54ef207755|maintenance;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GP0|#dd9b5445-92f0-4a44-9ca3-647380446295;L0|#0dd9b5445-92f0-4a44-9ca3-647380446295|Water disruption;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb;GPP|#8f4fc986-7316-49fe-aa93-6ae4c15611bf;GPP|#eea2ec5e-e535-4764-9094-bb6325d8d145;GP0|#43bf6174-4fd9-4c1a-9d7b-0e9863b66d0b;L0|#043bf6174-4fd9-4c1a-9d7b-0e9863b66d0b|bulk sewer;GTSet|#2e3de6c1-9951-4747-8f53-470629a399bb10
