Interested parties are invited to participate in this open event, scheduled for Friday, 26 April 2024. <br></p> | <p>Following extensive public participation processes and as part of its submission to the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and Environmental Affairs (DFFE), the City proposed integrating the functions of the Permit Advisory Forum (PAF) into the current Section 80 Advisory Committee. This adjustment aims to streamline ongoing and future engagements effectively.</p><p>Endorsing the City's proposal, the DFFE has agreed in principle that the City's existing Section 80 Advisory Committee could function as a PAF dedicated to monitoring ongoing compliance.</p><p>The Mayoral Advisory Committee: Water Quality in Wetlands and Waterways is a unique innovation in water governance in South Africa.
