Promotion of Access to Information Engagement Session at Cape Town<p>The Legal Services Department's Access to Information team, will be at the Cape Town Civic Centre. The details are as follows: </p><p><strong>Date:</strong>    Wednesday, 22 November 2023</p><p><strong>Time:</strong>    08:30 – 14:00</p><p><strong>Venue:</strong> Cape Town, Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Concourse Level (2nd Floor)</p><p>The purpose of the engagement session is to raise awareness on the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 and to inform members of the public of their rights in terms of the Act.</p><p>'This is an opportunity for residents to learn more about the procedures that need to be followed when making a request to access information that is held by the City. During the engagement session we will go through some of the provisions of PAIA that enable the City to provide requested information or give access to records within a reasonable time.
