NPOs assisting people living on the street can apply for grant-in-aid funding | NPOs assisting people living on the street can apply for grant-in-aid funding | | <img alt="" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/PublishingImages/SafeSpaceHeader.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /> | <div>The City of Cape Town’s Social Development and Early Childhood Development Department invites applications for Grant-in-Aid funding from registered non-profit organisations (NPOs) that provide programmes and services to people living on the street. <br></div><div><br><br></div><p><br></p> | <div>‘This year the department has made R8, 4 million available to NPOs who work this vulnerable sector in our communities. Applications should focus on providing creative and innovative programmes and services that address additional bed spaces at shelters and safe spaces, a focus on programmes that break cycles of substance abuse and programmes that promote the entrepreneurial activities of those living on the street.</div><div><br></div><div>‘The City has its own interventions, but with the help of our NPO partners we can do so much more to help people off the street.
