Motorists advised to exercise caution on Japhta K Masemola Road near Baden Powell DriveMotorists advised to exercise caution on Japhta K Masemola Road near Baden Powell Drive<img alt="" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/PublishingImages/City%20news.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /><p>The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate wants to caution road users against driving through the flooded section of Japhta K Masemola Road in Khayelitsha as you approach the R310 (Baden Powell Drive) turn-off to Stellenbosch. Following this week’s heavy rain, the road was damaged and is currently flooded. The damaged area is 10m before you reach the Stop sign. City employees are currently attending to this section of the road and pumping water out. Motorists are advised to adhere to all instructions from officials on site to ensure that their vehicles do not get damaged.<br></p><p><img src="/mediacentre/PublishingImages/Lists/Media%20Releases/AllItems/Japhta%20K%20Masemola%20Road.jpg" alt="Japhta K Masemola Road.jpg" style="margin:5px;width:309px;" /><br></p><div><br><br></div><p><br></p><p>‘Our Road Infrastructure Management team is currently on site working on the problem. The dangerous holes on the road were made safe and urge that community members desist from removing the material as it serves to prevent damage to vehicles that drive through this area.
