More customers continue to make the billing switch to email, eServices
'As a City, we'd like to eventually achieve almost 100% paperless billing where possible. eBilling (accounts via email) and managing accounts via eServices, saves the City money, which can be used to enhance other services; it is more environmentally friendly and it helps customers to have more control over receiving their bills directly and not via a postal service. More than half of our billable customers now receive their accounts via mail or by using eServices and we call on customers, especially our business and commercial customers to join the challenge to go paperless.

'As always, we thank our customers for their payments as this makes service delivery possible and we look forward to many more customers making the switch in the future,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.

Benefits of switching to eBilling (to receive bills via email) or eServices (to view municipal accounts online) include:

savings on postage, printing and paper

invoices reach customers faster

easy digital access and filing for customers

improved cash flow for the City

more direct control over sending and receiving invoices

more efficiently run City

How to make the switch:

Please visit www.capetown.gov.za, or specifically click on: eServices and municipal accounts (capetown.gov.za) to register for eBilling or eServices.

Then visit the eBilling or eServices registration pages.
