| Minibus-Taxi Task Team welcomes new Western Cape Minister of Mobility | Minibus-Taxi Task Team welcomes new Western Cape Minister of Mobility | | <img alt="" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/PublishingImages/Former%20Mayors%20Header.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /> | <p>JOINT STATEMENT BY THE WESTERN CAPE GOVERNMENT, SANTACO-WC AND THE CITY OF CAPE TOWN<br></p> | <p>The Mini-Bus Taxi Task Team (MBTTT) convened yesterday, 20 August 2024, with the meeting serving as an opportunity to introduce and formally welcome the new Western Cape Minister of Mobility, Isaac Sileku, who was appointed to the position in June. </p><p>The MEC was introduced by Cllr Roberto Quintas, MMC for Urban Mobility at the City of Cape Town, who opened and welcomed the meeting before the MEC was briefed on key issues that have been under discussion by the MBTTT and its sub-committees. </p><p>All stakeholders were invited to table further matters of interest and development within the sector, which will be taken up for further discussion in upcoming meetings.</p><p>The MBTTT comprises representatives of the SANTACO-WC, the Western Cape Government, and the City of Cape Town.
